1/ Halong Bay:
It means “where the dragon descended into the sea”. It is made up of 1,969 islands of various sizes, 989 of which have been given names. There are two kinds of islands, limestone and schist. The central zone of Halong Bay, which has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site has an area of 43,400 ha, consists of 775 islands, and forms a triangle with the island of Dau Go (Driftwood Grotto) to the west, the lake of Ba Ham (Three Shelter Lake) to the south, and the island of Cong Tay to the east. Taking a cruise trip around Halong is one of the best ways to experience the beauty of the Bay. While exploring the bay, you will feel lost in a legendary world of stone islands which shapes change depending on the angle and the light: Human Head Islet, Cock and Hen Islet, Sail Islet, Dragon Islet, Frog Islet, Incense Burner Islet…and lots of the strange-shaped rocks challenge your imagination.
2/ Surprise Grotto:
It is located on Bo Hon Island. It is also the most large and beautiful grotto in Halong bay and there are a lot of stones with distinctive shapes around there which nowhere has. Climbing 50 steps up and down about 10 steps from docks then you will touch the entrance of grotto. Its height is 25 meters and 10,000 m2 of width with thousands of stalagmites and stalactites. This is one of the typical karst grottos and high scientific value
3/ Driftwood Grotto:
Dau Go grotto is located at a height of 27 meters over sea level, the same age with Surprise Grotto about 2 million years ago. It has about 5000 m2 of width; wide entrance is 17 m and 12 m of height. The reason why is called driftwood grotto because of its legend. According to ancient legend: A long time ago in the war against the Mongol army, general Tran Hung Dao prepared many ironwood stakes here to plug into the bed of the Bach Dang River and there are many pieces of wood left in the grotto, so it is named as today - Driftwood Grotto.
4/ Heavenly Palace Grotto:
Located on the north of Dau Go island chain and far from Bai Chay tourist wharf is about 4km, this grotto was discovered in 1993. It owns wide and beautiful spaces inside and divided into several chambers with numerous stalactites made up peculiar and attractive shapes. This grotto associated with the legend of the Dragon King who got married to Mss. May – Mss. Cloud (a normal woman). There are so many animal characters of dancing to celebrate the wedding of the Dragon prince and his wife – Ms. Cloud in the grotto.
5/ Titop Island:
The Ti-Top Island is about 7-8 km far from Bai Chay port to the southeast. It has a beautiful crescent-shaped beach. Sand here is washed with the tide all four seasons. Uncle Ho and the astronaut hero Ghecman Titov visited the island in 1962. To commemorate the visit, Uncle Ho named the island after the name of the astronaut hero. Therefore, Titop is not only a beautiful island but also a friendship island between the Soviet and Vietnam
6/ Soi Sim Island:
Located in the southwest of the World Heritage Halong Bay and far about 11km from Bai Chay tourist wharf is a amazing island. It owns 2 beautiful beaches. From here, you can have sweeping views of the world heritage site at the southeast and northwest. In the past, local people found a lot of Rhodomyrtus tomentosa tree (called “sim” in Vietnamese) in the forest - a shrub with purple fruit, so the island was known as Soi Sim. With a rich ecosystem lays in the center of heritage area, nowadays, Soi Sim island becomes the most attractive destination to sightseeing, swimming and exploring.
7/ Night Market:
The night market is located in Bai Chay beach. Ha Long Night Market opens from the afternoon until midnight. There are more than 300 stands in here, with a wide variety of souvenir item: jewelry, pearl necklace, even suitcases, bags, glasses fashion, swimsuit etc. Although prices are usually listed on the products but do not forget to bargain. It is approximately 40-50%
8/ Cua Van Fishing village:
30km from the wharf, Cua Van is home to nearly 180 households. Their life was simple and naive on the colorful floating houses, surrounded by great limestone mountains of the bay.
There are floating a primary school and clinic here. The Cua Van School has only three classrooms, a library and a room for teachers. The areas of the rooms are very modest. Pupils learn only from grade 1 to grade 5. Every day, the small bamboo-baskets are driven by tiny oars going to school. They were born in floating houses on the sea, so can swim from 3 to 4 years old they and 5 or 6 years old they can row skillfully

9/ Luon Cave:Located on the northeast of Bo Hon Island and it is about 1km from Surprise grotto. Luon cave leads to a circle lake which is surrounded by mountains. Height of cave is from 2.5m to 4m depending on the tide. Roof cave has bow shape with stalactites hang down. Lake inside looks like a stadium with stands beveled up and spanned around. There are a lot of ferns, orchids and sago palm on the cliffs. The only way to get inside is take small boats.
10/ Ba Ham Lake:
Situated on southeast of Dau Be island chain and about 25 km far from Tourist Wharf is Ba Ham Lake. It is known for its charming beauty. There are 3 large lakes connecting together and with 3 caves and only visit by the small boats. In addition to beautiful scenery, it also has a richness and abundance of plants and animals, such as monkeys, ferrets, birds, corals, shrimp, fish, orchids, palm, cycads, flying squirrels, silver-headed parrots, bats and butterflies...
The cave is quite long and dark, sometimes you could see the sunlight slit down the cliff through the gaps. At the end of the second cave has an ancient star fruit tree that squirrels, monkeys, parrots come for fruit. There are so many bats and butterflies on the last cave bats, it is so beautiful inside the cave, even you can see the bottom and the fish that swim in it. There are boats waiting at the door to take tourists into the lake, each of which carries from 6 to 7 people. Before leaving the cruise into the small boat, do not forget to bring life jacket!
